Abstract
The effect of peritonal cells (PC) and sera and/or spleen cells (SC) and sera of BALB/c mice on tansfer of immunity against Clonorchis sinensis(C. sinensis) to the syngeneic recipient mice was studied. Group ¥° of donor mice were sensitized by injecting the admixture of the metabolic products, and Group ¥± by the somatic constituents, of C. sinensis and Freund's incomplete adjuvant into footpads twice at 2 weeks' interval. After challenge infection with metacercariae of C. sinensis, the eggs of control groups appeared earlier and much more numerously than those of recipient groups. There was a significant difference in worm burdens between one of the recipient and control groups. There were a small number of plaque forming cells(PFC) in all sensitized groups, but no PFC in the control mice. It was found that PC and sera of BALB/c mice are able to transfer immunity against C. sinensis to syngeneic recipients.
